Grrr! Close call

Cycling back last night, pretty much issue free as I leave early to avoid heavy traffic and I catch sight of the dreaded car door opening.

I like to think I do sensible things, wear a High Viz and have lights but hey it's sunny! (well, almost) So I was just a cycle jersey and my trusty lights. I like my trusty lights as they are leyzenes. 150 lumens on pulse.

I always ride with my lights on (yeah, I know, annoying right?)

So when I had to take evasive action to avoid the door, I was miffed, miffed enough to want to discuss it.

I kid you not, this was the response "You were going too fast" er, I've just crept across a box junction, "You were too fast going round that corner" Er, I came straight across a junction.

You get the gist, I then pointed out my lights, they were on and crazy bright, I then point out she should also never have parked so close to the corner, it makes turning the corner hazardous due to you obstructing peoples vision but vision is an issue for other people.

When did "Sorry mate, didn't see you" become "you were riding too fast"?

Wouldn't have been so bad if she realised she was at fault, lucky I wasn't in my car.....
