Bike recommendation!

For the past 2 months, I've been cycling into work and i'm loving it!

I'm currently riding a old cheapie that I've rescued from our garage, I've gotten it back into a usable condition - but now I want to upgrade. This also needs to be decent enough for weekend trial rides and cruising about as I'm fully addicted now!

Budget will be around £300 and i'm looking for a hardtail, I don't mind second hand, if it's somewhat decent. - Is it worth opting for disc brakes at this level? Or just stick with V brakes and possible upgrade in the future?

If you want a brand new one now this weekend, have a look on line at the usual suspects and see what is in the sale

if you have a bit more patience and are prepared to kiss a few frogs to find a prince(ss), gumtree or eBay can yield some great kit at great prices

I've been trying to cycle over here! I've been thinking about my old back back in blighty in the shed as well (I bet it is in bad nick...).

I've been using Hol's cycling machine haha - good for the joints.
