Upgrading CaadX - Wheels?

2015 CaadX 105
Looking to upgrade. Mostly roads, paved cycle paths and some towpaths, nothing too rough off road but want to be able to handle a little.
Thinking upgrading the wheels is the obvious answer. ANy suggestions around £300, Kinesis look quite good.
After that? Crank in FSA, convert to full 105 throughout? Then the brakes?

Kinesis crosslights are good, v light for the money, but will die on winter roads (alu nipples).
What brakes have you got? I'd keep BB7s over those TRP pseudo hydros

For £300 I went 105 BB & CX chainset, BB7s, Barlow Pass 38c Extralights & Stans kit on the std wheels.

Take the £300 you have in mind for the wheels. Forget the cranks and brakes: take the money you had in mind for them and add it to the £300
Spend the whole amount on wheels. The difference between better wheels and even better wheels will be far more noticeable than anything else you can change. See my posts on the 'what bits have you bought thread' about my thoughts on my wheel upgrade.
As a recent convert to their wheels, I would be looking at the Rolf Prima ECX or VCX.

I think the 105 crank will be a backwards step as a hollowtech crank is heavy and the BB30 to hollowtech adapter will also be chunky.
I'd pop a Sram CX1 BB30 crank in there. Light and simple and ditch the front mech.
For wheels look at Stans Iron Cross or Grail (heavier but road tubeless compatible).
Brakes - I dumped BB7s for TRP Parabox which are powerful and quiet but can be fussy about bleeding so would go Hy/Rd next time.
