The argument will also only apply to cyclists who don't own a car (or cars) and I assume potentially it will only happen if the Conservatives secure another term in government beyond 2020/2021 general election?

I'm pretty sure the roads do more damage to my bike than my bike does to them!

I'd 100% agree with you! what's more: even if it all falls into place we won't magically wake up to super smooth fresh asphalt the morning after! Most of the country roads I ride on at weekends probably won't be touched for another 20 years no matter how the maintenance is funded! frown

that sort of comment really gets my goat because the kind of person that says that typically owns 1 car whereas I own 3 cars & 2 motorbikes and I choose to cycle....who pays more "road tax" now rolleyes
