Is it me or are Talacrest a bit pricey?

Looking at their 348’s they have two TS’s both RHD. One’s a 91 car with 20K miles and the other’s a 93 with 16K. They’re asking just under 35K GBP for each one.

Looking at Verdi on the other hand they have four 348’s: two TS’s (one RHD, one LHD) and two LHD TB’s. They range in age between 90 to 92 and in mileage between 25K to 47K. However all the cars are between 25K and 28.5K GBP.

OK I haven’t looked at any of these cars so can’t comment on condition but that’s quite a difference in average price. The RHD premium argument doesn’t really hold water as there’s a RHD at Verdi’s for 28.5K.

Do the first two seem expensive to you? I could get a 355 for that sort of money.

Hi Gary,
I enquired about a 348 at Talacrest and they are selling on behalf of customers so I know for a fact that some of the cars have been available for over 1 year as the owners are not budging on the price! (seems daft to me!)
I was put off as I was then told the 348 that I made an enquiry about had a number a faults which needed to be solved and yet they wanted top dollar !

Myabe its me but I prefer to pay for a car which has all the "Niggles" resolved including paint etc.
But on the other hand why should the dealer pay for these until they have a deffinate purchaser ?
For me I was put off by this approach and I know other who steered clear as well .
Maybe thats why they now sell Jewellery !!!!

The 16T 348 is in very good condition. No sure where I can find a decent 355 below 40K. Have been looking around many independent dealers, all decent ones above 40K. Was tempted to buy a 98, 355GTS, rosso crema, 44T for around 45K. Hard to find these specs anywhere.

I should clarify I was referring to LHD 355’s. I wouldn’t pay over 40K GBP for a LHD 94/95 Berlinetta unless it was exceptional.

Hmm… yes. Didn’t see that. The jewellery and rock memorabilia do knock their credibility down a few points in my eyes

I know they are on a good percentage for selling the "other" items but I agree with you.
It does knock their cred!
