Have a friend who is a manager at argos and picked one of these up for next to nothing. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3...
It's a carbon frame and pretty light. Ive changed the naff saddle for a 'selle royal look in sport' which is pretty comfy.
I find the ride pretty hard, so lowered the pressure of the tyres from 120 to 100psi, seems a bit better.
Are clip in pedals worth it? I bike about 40 miles a week at the moment hope to do a lot more.
Anything else worth changing on the bike that would improve it?

Yes, SPD pedals are worth it. Once you have used them for a while, you will never go back to flats. It's a carbon frame and pretty light. Ive changed the naff saddle for a 'selle royal look in sport' which is pretty comfy.

Start out with the Shimano SPD 520 pedals. They are double sided and easy to clip in and out of of.
Just go to your local Evans and try on a load of cycling shoes and get what ever fits the best. MTB shoes are good because you can still walk properly. Also they tend to be a bit tougher than road shoes.
There is a hige thread on the argos bike. I've never ridden one, but my first upgrade would be the wheels and then the groupset after that. Maybe Shimano Ultegras and 105 for gears and brakes.
