997 Gen2 Turbo - Advice needed!
Discussion
I've been looking at getting a 997 tub recently and stumbled across this one on trader...

Looks like a good low miler, but also looks like it's been tinkered with? I've had little exposure to porks in the past, so it would be great to get some advice on what to look out for.
I've got £60k, the car will only be used at weekends/euro trips.
Thanks!
Sam

Hi Sam
Looks a nice car to me colour is always opinion but its at an OPC so it cant of been messed about with too much - the 2 tone colour leather wont be to everyone's taste but the 2 tone was a standard feature on the 997 Turbo S - either black/cream or black/blue.
The turbos were fairly well spec'd as standard anyway. For me I would not consider any 911 without Sports Chrono which this car does have..it has a clock on the dash that a lot of guys dont like but it also remaps the throttle and the suspension settings and on the turbo gives you a neat little overboost function.
White Turbos are not for me personally but who cares what I think on the face of it looks a very nice car - Good luck if you decide to buy it.

Hi Berty,
Thanks for the response, I've just realised the link to the car was wrong! God knows how but it's one hell of a coincidence.... A white Gen2 Turbo!
This is the one.

Hi Sam
This car has been for sale for a while.
When I bought my gen 2 turbo around 6 weeks ago it was up for around £64k.
It is a manual which is extremely rare on a gen 2 car, they also seem to get advertised for £4k or so less than a PDK car.
The aero kit so not a std Porsche factory fit as I've got the aero kit on my car and it looks very different.
Also has aftermarket air filters etc, therefore I would be a little wary.
Otherwise a cheap gen 2 turbo especially with on,y 19,000 miles.
Could get it checked out by Porsche OPC 111 check
