Range Rover L405 - holes in rear seat backs
Discussion
when I bought my used L405 upon opening the tailgate and looking at the carpeted back of the rear seats I noticed on both the left and right seats a cluster of small holes in a circular pattern
I asked the main dealer 'what are these'?
they came back to me and said after speaking to LR they are 'ventilation holes' for the heated rear seats - they also checked a brand new unregistered car and found the same holes present
seems strange to me - at least a grill could have been used to cover said holes?
anybody have the same holes or an alternate explanation please?

I have them on my 2015 RRS.
thankshad it confirmed again by main dealer that they are ventilation holes and that LR say a plastic grill would be damaged
wtf then not a stainless steel grill on a circa £100K car?
they now really irritate me and I am designing a flush stainless steel grill along the lines of a speaker cover
when installed i'll do photographs and put on the forum - I may be able to sell them to members who are interested if my tame engineer is prepared to make more at a reasonable price
