PCCB problem - new one
Discussion
Having a problem with PCCB on a Gen 1 997 GT3.
Car developed a grinding noise whilst driving from a wheel on the off side. Got the car immediately recovered to an OPC and they have found one of the PCCB discs to be missing some of the bobbins screws with the hat I believed deformed and damaged by grinding away at the hub. There is also damage to the disc on the inside edge.
I don't want to go into a major amount of detail at this stage, car has warranty and Porsche service history so I'm waiting on first response from head office on warranty coverage. Post was really to see if anyone else has experienced this type of failure on a 2 piece disc before and likely causes?
I assume that the bobbins screws have a form of thread lock applied at the factory and they are not a service item?
All the discs are in good shape otherwise, no delamination or signs of abuse/excessive heat damage. OPC claims they have never seen his before. Have any of you?

thanks for the information slippy.
Ok, result was on this one that Porsche have agreed to cover it under warranty. It did need to be reviewed by Reading, and then Germany so took over a week. But good result, Porsche said this shouldnt happen and it's covered.
Good result here, shows the extended warranty does come good (sometimes anyway!)
