Cos (cutting a long story short) swmbo got talking to someone and has been offered one for £1500.

I realise it's impossible to say with out an idea of spec but 1.5k seems very cheap. (He's an old enthusiast whose fleet has grown beyond the point his missus can bear, and he apparently did the engine swap himself.

Mine's a 1970 IIa with a swapped 2.5NA ex-military diesel. It started life as a petrol, and came for that price with 12 months MoT.

Any more details?

Depends what it's like but I would have thought a decent, running, MOTd SIIA is a bit of a gift at £1500?

Cheers. It's unlikely to happen, but we're having a think about the camper.

Petrol engine is more desirable than the god awful diesels of the same period.

If the chassis and bulkhead are good then you are on to a winner.

Prices are on the rise for series Land Rovers as 90s are just becoming ridiculously expensive. Wish I'd bought a 200tdi Defender when they were £3k frown

This could be the first time in history that I still own a vehicle which is appreciating! There have been a few I have parted wither the years which have gone on to be very desirable.
