I know it's been mentioned before that the red key supplied with Maserati 3200's is expensive but when picking the latest one up on Sunday I was told that the price is £3000!!

Anybody trying to trade a car in without one will automatically have that amount knocked off the (possibly already low) price offered for the car.

You have two choices: -

1. Keep the red key very safe.

2. If you lose it, paint the spare black one in the correct shade of red, nobody'll know .

It looks like any other car key except it has a red end bit instead of black.

It is used to re-programme a key, if you need a spare etc (allegedly).
