Saddles...anybody used Fabric Scoop saddle or Fizik Aliante?

I am putting the last few parts together for my bike build and one thing I am not sure of is a saddle!!

Now I know these are personal but trying to find a store with any decent stock of saddles I want to see is difficult. I have used a Specialized Toupe for ages on my current road bike and have a Charge Spoon Ti on my Mountain bike which is proving comfortable.

Started to look at saddles and of course Fizik get raved about because they are on loads of Pro Bikes but they are pricey. Pricey is fine if they are good. From the Fizik site I would probably class myself as the 'Bull' as I have lopsided disc in my lower back from a BMX off as a kid. I was looking at the Aliante R1 with a price match from Wiggle. Any experience of Fizik, good or bad much appreciated.

Also the Charge sister brand, Fabric, have widened the range of options on the Scoop with Flat, Shallow and Radius. I was looking at Shallow as middle ground, I don't ride in the drops often so from their site that points to 'Shallow'. I have got a price match from Evans on a Black/Black Shallow at the moment but haven't pulled the trigger yet, I would have liked to have seen one but cant find them in stock anywhere. Anybody with experience of the Scoop, good or bad much appreciated.

I had a Madison saddle fitted to my Genesis Volant road bike from new. Initially it was comfortable, but as the weeks went on it was obvious that my rear end was too big for it.

I too was after a flatter profile saddle, with increased width to support my sit bones.

I trialled a couple of Fiziks with my LBS, and after a few weeks settled on an Aliante XM as my ideal seat.

Four weeks after buying one, I did 103 miles and 11 1/2 hrs on the bike. No discomfort whatsoever.

Best £90 I spent, but please be mindful that saddles are a very personal so it may not be the most ideal one for you!

Charge Spoon on my old bike, ok but always felt I could find something better. Tried a Fizik Arione as part of a bike fit for a week, absolute murder for me. Then an Alliante for a bit longer, it was better than the Arione but that wasn't saying much! My search will continue, new bike came with a Giant own brand saddle which I'd rate like the Spoon, ok but could probably find better.
It doesn't matter what anyone says though the only way to be sure is to try them. Selle Italia stockists are meant to offer some kind of trial facility I think.

I have both those saddles from the search to find something comfortable the scoop is just painful. Then it seems I'm odd as Flite Titanium on my MTB I can ride all day and be fine but on a road bike I thought the old boy was going to fall off after a few hours. I still have the Fizik on my road bike but sure there must be something better.

I have a scoop fabric shallow and can't get on with it at all, it was a cheap replacement for a Selle Italia SLR (which I use on all of my bikes).

LBS recommended it as a as close as 'like for like' replacement but despite countless adjustments I can't quite get it to feel level, also the seat rails have started to creak and groan after less than 1,000 miles and are driving me nuts. I have Charge Spoons on both of my MTB's and they are fab, but the Fabric Scoop has been a disappointment - know a few riders who really rate it but I could not recommend it.
