Does anyone know where I can find and buy a replacement fusebox cover?
Is this likely to be unhealthy for the fuses. I'm thinking of water (especially when washing the car) doing some damage.
Thanks.

Even with a fusebox cover the fusebox/relay box are far from watertight, however I think I'd try to source one rather than leave them exposed.

Try one of the car breakers like Geary at www.eliseparts.com . . .
