Tyres to Germany

Not strictly a Caterham question but can anyone suggest the best way to ship a set of tyres to Germany?
Googling produces quotes of £160 which seems expensive to me.

Seems quite in order to me. Problem is that shipping from the UK to the mainland is ridiculous compared to shipment to the UK.
Obviously it has to do with the fact that it is way more difficult and the transport distance is much longer to ship parcels from the UK.
I can ship items to my friend in the UK for around €7.50
When he needs to ship the same it costs around £20.

If you're looking for Avon tyres there is a good supplier in Germany that is most of the time cheaper than buying in the UK.

or try companies such as interparcel; they're brokers for most of the big courier companies. Just ran a quote for a 15kg parcel that's 60x60x50 cm and the standard UPS service is £24 plus VAT and will take 4-5 working days.
