Having just found that it is now available in my area(BT broadband is not), I decided to do a little digging to find out if NTL is up to the job, any advice would be welcome.
Is this normal:

I think this new URL malarky is more trouble than its worth.

I'll stick to the tried & tested HTML code of
{a href="URL"}Text{/a} (replace curly braces with angle brackets)

ie. déja vu

He obviously had a better than usual experience with them - do a search on cable - we covered this in a topic a few days ago...

Base line was, NTL - cheap, but their reliability and customer service are absolutely shit.

Bollocks - Carzee beat me to it

Thanks for the link Carzee, sorry about not doing a search first. In a rush before phone line goes down for the fourth time in two weeks.

It does work!
Problem is you are slipping into HTML mode! Just type the url as you would type it into the address box of your browser!

I have the 1mb service and it's been superb. Had it right from the start and can only remember 2 occasions when the service let me down. I also have to say that on the couple of occasions that I've had to call them they were superb too. Cable Modem failed one afternoon and an engineer delivered a new one to my door within the hour !!
