Is it essential for the IVA to drill holes in the floor and rivet poppers in for the mats or can you use Velcro type fasteners?

That's how mine were attached when I bought the car. But I've long since removed the mats and drilled the odd hole in the footwell to let out any gathered water.

mine are fixed with poppers or intended to be but when I exit the caterham my mat scrunches up under my feet and ends up down by the peddles.

Thanks guys, but I was wondering if it's essential for the IVA?

It wasn't when I built mine in 2011, but best check with the factory.

Rubber mats in my footwells and a couple of strips of skateboard gripper tape stuck to the floor prevents the mats from sliding around. Works for me....

there is no requirement to have floor mats to pass the IVA as far as I know... so if you're concerned, present your car without them in.

also, my advice would be to remove the side screens and hinges (as they're not "e-marked", my car failed on this amongst other things as my tester had his regional boss watching so was super-diligent/pedantic)

Too late! Poppers fitted this am. Asked the factory but no reply.

Already taken side screens and hinges etc off, I was aware of that one.

Car is being collected by midlands on Thursday for PBC and then IVA. With a bit of luck I'll have it on the road early June.
