What’s Tom Walkinshaw doing nowadays?
Discussion
Autosport, December:
"Tom Walkinshaw has been handed a managerial role at Holden Motorsport for the Australian V8 Supercar Championship. He has been on the fringes of the sport since TWR collapsed in 2002, but retained a majority shareholding in Holden Special Vehicles.
"He will be responsible for overseeing the R&D of the Supecar programme as well as supplying the technology to the Holden-backed teams."
I believe that Tom was able to retain a large part of his personal fortune, even though (I have vague recollections that) he was sued either by the liquidators or his own lawyers for healthy amounts of unpaid fees. But don't quote me on that.
