E39 CD Multichanger, part no needed.
Discussion
Could someone do me a big favour and have a look at their Bootmounted cd multichanger to obtain the part number. I will be buying one from ebay, but there seem to be so many around with similar numbers, I don't want to buy the wrong one.
The car is a 1997 E39 528i.
Thanks in advance.

Just been out to check my 1998 car for you but the part number is not visible with the changer installed. I've got an accessories brochure (dated 2001) which lists a part number 65 12 6 913 388. This is good for both saloon and touring and says "Only suitable for radio appliances with an integrated CD control system. An installation set and accessory set must also be ordered as additional items depending on car and radio type."

I think the part numbers are the same (cue confused BMW dealer if you try and order parts with a US part number)
Probably worth looking to see if you can get an adaptor and fit an Alpine MP3 changer instead, will probably work out cheaper.. and will play MP3s
