on the drive into work today, round about 10:30ish, I went past the truvelos on the coast road, past the ones on the bypass and off up towards newcastle on my usual line - was somewhat shocked to see a scameravan hiding in the cemetary entrance on the west-east side of the road, you couldn't see him cos he had reversed RIGHT UP to the wall, it was only as you were on top that you could see him - the van had it's doors closed and as such he was lasering people from inside (which I'm sure the LTI's and ProLaser's aren't type approved to do).

be careful if you're heading along that way - a few times I've been able to just sweep straight through the lights and do easily more than double the limit past the cemetary - if they're hiding like that I hate to think what else they're capable of

Thanks for the heads up Dave.

Fortunately, I do all my driving during the wee small hours so I'm less likely to encounter a van. If they decide to do nightshifts, I'll lose my licence for sure

They hardly advertise the drop in limit - I drive along it fairly often and had no idea it was 30 until my brother got done a few weeks back. You'd think they might have a reminder sign at some point along there.

Bunch of tw*ts

it's a 30mph along there now?

I drive along there all the time and didn't know that!

Has been for quite a while now, can't remember exactly when it changed but its possibly more than 6 months. Lights at bottom of Osbourne road all the way to the Cradlewell tunnel is 30. From there, past the cameras to Corner house is 40. From there to 2mm past the cameras (or the NSL sign if you are behaving yourself) is 50.
