Cold oil

Taken the car out for the first time this year

All is running well with one annoying niggle
Upon start up (7c outside) the oil is reading -1c and the subsequent warning appears
The temperature does rise as the engine heats up and acts normal.

So in general id say probably a very biast low sensor maybe?
Anyone got any idea / experience
