Brundle & Blundell set to manage racers

New management team combines old hands

Martin Brundle and Mark Blundell have set up a new company, 2MB Sports Management Ltd, to provide a management service for racing drivers.

The two former British Formula One drivers, long-term friends and on-track sparring partners, will represent drivers within motorsport. They aim to offer "a comprehensive portfolio including legal, commercial, marketing and communications services". Announcement of new signings to 2MB are expected shortly.

Martin Brundle said, "Mark approached me with this concept and I am delighted to join forces with him. Together we have a tremendous knowledge and experience of all aspects of motorsport. As team mates at Brabham, Ligier and F1-ITV we know that we work well together and have complementary skills and outlook. Mark will lead the organisation and be the first point of contact, and I will contribute as and when my experience and contacts are needed. Hopefully this is a business which will grow over the next few years"

Mark Blundell said, “2MB will focus on young talent and we hope we will be able to promote British drivers. We will also be looking to work with drivers from around the world competing at national and international level. With the depth of experience that Martin and I share, we aim to develop the business and grow the company.”

Coulthard is (ahs has been for a while) "managed" (really he just helps him out looking for contracts I think) by Brundle.
