Leeds to Nottingham - fun route?

I have to collect the car in a couple of weeks to bring it down to uni, but I can't face the boredom induceing stupor of the M1 on a Sunday afternoon!

Can anyone suggest an roads that I should try and include? I am thinking of going the Derbyshire route through the Peak district, good idea or not, what do you think?

Any suggestions welcomed, can't wait to get back in the car again!

Nottingham > Matlock > Bakewell > Millers Dale > Bamford > Strines Moor > Penistone > High Hoyland > M1 > Leeds.

Done it on my 56 year old Matchless a few times so I'm sure your Micra will make it. There are a couple of serious uphill hairpins to negotiate after Midhopestones...
