I say this because I had a very similar issue. It turned out to be the internally routed cables were catching whenever anything caused them to move. A spray of WD40 sorted it (followed by some ACF50 so stop it happening again).
Have you taken the headset off to see if there is any rust?
If it is a damp shed, you might what to use one of these next year:

Nice bike left in a damp shed all winter? Does not compute.
Some of us have no choice but to use a shed. Same with parking on the road. I would like to put my car and my motorbike in a garage, but I don't have the luxury. We do what we can with what we have.Edited by SteveSteveson on Thursday 7th May 09:45

My wife would not be happy with that at all (and also I lack the room in the house to keep it without falling over it all the time). It is difficult enough for me to negotiate using a turbo trainer in the house.
You have to set expectations.I have over ten grands worth of bikes and there is no way they're living in a shed that I could break into with my bare hands. When put like that anything other than keeping them in the house would be retarded. But I do have a cupboard under the stairs where they all fit.
