How many points on your licence?
Discussion
Another speed camera (one of those nasty forward facing ones), has just gone up on one of many roads that I used to consider safe for 'driving'.
Which made me question how much longer will my licence stay clean (over 10 years now - no points!!!)
Without wanting to give too much away (never know who reads these things), my speedo shows the wrong side of 100mph on a daily commute into the office - with the mix of cars owned here, what's everyone else's licence like - are TVR's etc bad for you?

Yeah I would, but I drive a Lexus LS400 and somehow I don't think that's the car for a track - unless someone out there thinks otherwise!
The ultimate irony for me is that until recently I too had a clean license despite numerous occasions of "pressing on".
And what did I get my points for? 50mph in a temporary 40mph limit whilst "poodl[ing] around on public rights of way, under the national limit, thus protecting [my] licence's cherry".

I have 6 pts currently - but have all in all had three sp30 convictions.
two cameras and one bike related moment.
71mph in a 60 - norfolk duel carriageway early on a sunday
94 in a 70 - A14 - caught by a police Biker
38 in a 30 - portable tax camera in the back of a white van on the reading ring road.
and all those before I bought a fast car....

8 points, a 3 and a 5. The 3 was Northampton A14, caught by disguised camera van. Could happen to anyone, even the smug "clean licence coz I'm cool" brigade.
The 5 point was 64 in a temporary 40 at 6:30am. The video evidence clearly showed the unmarked police car doing 52mph in same 40 limit when I passed him, which corroborates my view that for the prevailing conditions speeds in excess of 40mph were not unsafe. He didn't give himself a ticket though.
PS. In neither case was I driving the TVR - Audi A8 and Golf TDi respectively.

Thats a little like me with my karting, get all the agression out on the track then just cruise home .
By the time I finish a race im knackerd and not up to pushing a car on the road. To many gatso's around.
Oh and three points from a few years ago when I had the TVR S1, 50 in a 40.
The auto in the touring has calmed my driving down but its so quiet the speed sometimes creeps up without me noticing so have to keep checking the speed.
