.....toy if you wasn't trading it up???

Would you use PH, Top Marques, Owners club, Back to dealer, SOR....??

Would you buy privately if a dealer knew it's condition and history?

Anyone got experiences from selling back to the dealer you bought it from??? They're gonna wanna fck you right?

Any advice would be great....T.

Top Marques and PH. Dealers only if you need the cash in a hurry or like taking it up the Marmite motorway!

Cheers Craig, weren't too sure about the private market for these cars but suppose if they know who's looked after it then that wouldn't be such a problem.

It's a good car with a strong engine and producing some very impressive power figures so would love it to go to someone who will use it like it's meant to be used, unlike some F owners I saw at the weekend!!!

Tony,

Personally I dont think the authorised dealers are too bad, considering the margins involved, and at least you get your cash straightaway, without messing around. They are quick and professional.

I am a bit lazy but I couldnt be arsed to sell it myself. When it comes to cars I just like to drive them and buy them... like they say everything ends badly, otherwise it wouldnt end, and so for one reason or another I just want to get rid so I sell cheap! lol

Also at this level, the buyers will be paying £££ so dont mind a little extra for a dealer, therefore your potential audience shrinks and the difference between you and dealer ends up at £5K, and as the dealer will probably offer you £10K less than his selling price (not always, but a good rule to work to) so for £5K I always think its easier to sell to a dealer.

Be careful of SOR, the dealers always want to sell their own stock first (understandably) and also some dont mind pricing yours higher in order to make theirs look like "great deals" and then eventually they may hold onto it long enough to make you totally bored of the whole thing and give in to a "best the punter will pay" scenario and sell it to them at a price similar to a straight buy. So be careful!

Good luck, oh and happy new year.

Hi Ninja.

Just checked your profile and I see you've finally sold the 360. What are you going to replacing it with?

Hi guys,

I hope you are both v well and had great xmas and NY.

Daz, I sold the 360 about a few months back now, but was just slow to update the profile. For a # of reasons, following on from problems we were discussing when we met at Rich's place, I'm kinda peed off with having a decent car in the UK, so tried Spain. Bloody Murci £180K and roadster £200K, which is more expensive than here! That plus insurance hasnt been an easy task has put me off getting one there too, for the moment. When I went over there I saw a silver Gallardo parked near our home (we're close to Castellana) on the STREET! Owner must have some balls, everyone uses the next car as a parking guide over there!

Guy, I have been so busy its ridiculous, but at least its busy bringing in £££ rather than just the regular troubles lol. I havent seen or spoken to that slapper Manu for a while now, punk's probably playing with female exhausts lol and writing it off against his taxes.
