Just changed jobs (having checked at interview stage that cycling facilities were available) and have now found out that whilst they are available, there are no spaces (lease allocates a number of places and the last 2 went last week). I can use the showers but can't have a bike space. There are bike bollards (those shiny silver things bolted into the ground) outside my office (St Pauls) so will use those. It's a busy area usually but I'm taking no chances - what do I need to adequately lock my bike? Neither wheel is quick release and the bike isn't high in value but I love it so don't want it going anywhere.
You can't go far wrong than these two.

Will you be leaving it there overnight?
I used to leave my bike outside the office* during day with just one of these through the frame. The wheels were secured with QRless skewers.

I never left it overnight but if I had I'd have either used another smaller D lock for the front wheel or usuing a longish cable to do the front and rear wheels and pass through the frame, more to stop the bike being moved around than becasue the wheels were valuable.

- One road up from St Pauls
I run two D-locks (one Abus, one Kryptonite) with a Kryptonite cable. One lock through the front wheel, one through frame and rear wheel with the cable threaded through and into each D-lock. I leave mine in a secure car park though (zone 2). It wasn't until recently did I consider the other parts on my bike. All a thief needs is a hex key and set of wire cutters and they can quickly remove my carbon handlebars, stem and shifters from up front or a carbon seatpost and saddle on the rear. I wouldn't leave mine in a public place even without fancy parts on it. I lose track of cannibalised bikes I see in London.
