Best puppy food

Hi folks
Picking up our new puppy in 7 weeks she is a working cocker breed we would like some advice on what would be the best food for her.
In the past we have used euconoba puppy but would like some recommendations any advice would be appreciated

Forgot to mention she is working breed but won't be working just a companion / pet and kept in the house

Our 4 month old Yorkie/Jack Russell was fed on Lily's Kitchen puppy food, he is now on the adult stuff and we've switched our Frenchie over to it too.

Everyone comments on how good his coat and eyes look and he has good solid poos too.

Our litter were eating bones at 4 weeks old. Dogs eat bones - raw bones only of course.

Only the best for Barry and Daisy Dog, but yes if they were bigger dogs the cost could get considerable.

We flirted briefly with thoughts on raw for Daisy before Barry appeared on the scene as Frenchies can have very sensitive stomachs and you do have to watch what you feed them and they have skin issues too, however we just couldn't be doing with the hassle of raw and preparing it and clearing up afterwards etc and Lillys Kitchen has great reviews and seemed a good compromise.

Barry was originally on Wainwrights puppy food; this is what Daisy had been on when she came to us; it is half the cost of Lilly's, however Daisy just didn't get on with it so we changed hers to Lillys's and tried Barry on it too and it did make a visible difference to his appearance; he just looked healthier and his poos were firmer too and he loves it.

Jasondjules what type of bones and how big ?
18 years ago I got a bone from the butcher for my beloved Scamp and she ended up in intensive care for 4 days the bone had splintered and got lodged in her intestine/stomach she did make a full recovery, never fed bones since,

We used Orijen Puppy, but I wish we'd fed raw from the start. Moss's coat and behaviour are noticeably better since we switched his diet. We'll probably be using Natural Instinct Puppy when the new pup arrives later this year.

Not saying the Orijen is bad, it is a good kibble, but raw has also made a positive difference to his digestion. Less farting and more firm poo.

Miss the farting though tbh, I can't blame mine on the dog anymore.

At 4-8 weeks they were eating chicken and turkey wings/carcasses/necks.
Then also tripe and chunks of raw meat.

If you are on facebook there are a few raw feeder groups BUT you must learn a bit before looking to feed raw (it is better for them in my view, far far better than any commercial food, after all it is more natural) but you need to ensure you have a good range for them.

A puppy will also grow a little slower on raw, which I hope is better for their bones.

The breeder fed ours on raw, as did we for the first couple of weeks. Our vet is OK with raw in general but not happy for large breed puppies. We moved him to Barking Heads Little Bigfoot and Naturediet wet food. He now has adult Bigfoot and chicken Naturediet as his staple with a couple of raw frozen chicken wings a day as treats.

The vet's position was that if you screw up with an amateur diet when the dog is still growing you will do permanent damage, whereas with an adult dog you probably won't.

I have kept my 5 year old on the brand he was fed at the breeders. It's Symply and I did try a couple of other good quality dry foods, but he lost condition within days.

we have a new pup- well 15 weeks old now - fed on Purina puppy food - breeder recommended it -she seems to know her stuff -has had a crufts best in breed. best see what your breeder says
