Just wanted to get an opinion as there are some knowledgeable people on here.
My 7month old german shepherd/douge de Bordeaux just half layed down, half collapsed whilst in the garden, he then started breathing really heavily and wet himself. His eyes were closed and shaking him didn't didn't wake him. When he did come round he seemed to have no idea who I was and was growling/trying to bite. It then seemed to click after a couple of secs who I was and he was back to his normal happy excited self.
My first thought was to get him straight to the vets, but he is acting complety normal now. Would people leave taking him to the vets today and get him there tomorrow morning and keep a close eye on him today? Out of hours vets fees are obviously expensive so I don't want to pay them for no reason. I will get him straight to the vets of it happens again today.

Get him in the vets.
Do his eyes like swivel from side to side? when our dog had her stroke that's how we could tell, afterwards she can't like look straight or focus and her balance isn't right.
So far she's had 3 but within 3 days shes back to being fairly normal just slightly wonky ( saying that she is 16)

Probably bit late to comment but if completely ok now then phone vets tomorrow to discuss plan of action. If not completely back to normal then get him seen today.
He is young so it may need some investigating to check his heart first of all then discuss what to do if it was an epileptic seizure.

Just a little update.
I took buddy to the vets this morning, after a thorough check over they said its most likely epilepsy. He is fit and healthy otherwise, so the vet isn't taking any action at the moment, I've just got to keep notes of seizures if/when they happen again so it can be discussed with the vet.

. So young bless him, hopefully he won't have anymore or it'll be months before he does, until them treat him normally
