Route near Watford/herts for road bike

Looking for a moderately flat route I can throw the road bike in the car and drive to. Roads around here (Bushey) are hilly and seemingly never repaired.

Not exactly what you asked, but have you thought of riding out with The Gregarios? They meet near you, in Hatch End, and will know the best local routes.

edit - although, like most of us, they probably go seeking out hills.

Then rattle in your location, use the sliders to define distance, elevation and time, it will return rides that fit your criteria which you can then go and tootle round.

Currently live a few miles from watford. There are plenty of places to cycle. Cycle a few miles up the road and you are in the langleys and from there you can go to Chipperfield, Bovingdon, chesham and beyond. You can also head out from hemel too

As for perfect roads, sorry to be blunt, but just get over it. we all have to deal with rubbish roads and there really isn't anything you can do about it. 28mm Gatorskins help a bit.
