C2S - 991 PDK vs 997.2?
Discussion
Greeting pistonheads! I'm new here and in need of some wise experienced advice.
Currently own an absolutely lovely 997.2 (2010) PDK C2S and thinking of changing to the 991. Tested a few 991s and while the ones I tried which had PDCC and Chrono seemed fun and tight, in the general test drives I had there's was a bit of a loss of that small sports car visceral feeling my 997 has so much of. It's a more refined drive but I'm not sure that's necesssarilly better... It doesn't feel quicker but that's a hard thing to really judge on the roads where London OPCs run you around for a test drive...
Any one here made that switch from a late, well sorted PDK 997 to a 991 and cares to share their long term impressions?
What's the best config for a 991 to keep it feeling less GT and more of a 'sports car'?
Cheers

I went from a 997.1 Targa to a 997.2 PDK to a 991 C2S PDK
Each has/had a amazing spec. The first few days I was not so happy with the 991, it felt too big (I do not like big car's) but I have grown to love the car.
Its quick, very comfortable and the exhaust makes some wonderful sounds.
If you want more of a sporty feeling car I would look at ordering a 991 GTS PDK with Sports chrono (give you dynamic engine mounts) and without PCCD

I test drove a 991 Carrera S and then a Turbo S. The new Carrera S with the right options makes a much better noise and the PDK is far improved. It was also a much better daily. However, i like that the 997 feels 'alive' and makes every journey feel like an event because you are involved. I knew i'd get bored of the 991 quickly.
I wasn't choosing to upgrade, it was a choice between 997 and 991, and i went with the 997. However, if i could only have one car, i would choose the 991.
