Cheddar Gorge this weekend - 21/02/2015

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking throwing a tent in the boot of my Escort Cosworth and driving down to Cheddar Gorge (from Leicester) as I have a free weekend and it simply looks like a cool place, and a fantastic driving road (plus I'm sure there will be plenty of other fun roads on the way).

Was wondering if anyone knew if there is to be a car gathering or similar there this weekend as I see car meets are held there regularly, at least they used to be.

I live ten minutes away from there. It's a nice road but the final twisties into Cheddar get pretty busy with sightseers generally looking up at the rocks than the road, and naturally no pavements of course. So it can be slightly awkward around the many unsighted bends. Lots of good roads across the Mendips too on the way there.

Whilst your down here, head down m5 to junction 25 then head towards minehead and take in Exmoor.
