So we think theres a good chance the 991 GT3RS will have a manual option
We think it will be circa £140K at launch
We think it will demolish all the competition
We think it will have massive aero and no turbo
Do used values of 997.2GT3RS at £160K still make sense or will they drop a bit?

And nobody can get a 991 RS so the value of that will no doubt sky rocket. £250k at launch?!!

If Porsche sell them for less than 200K, they need their heads examined.

There are lots of examples of Porsche values not stacking up.

The 991GT3RS will be circa 140K list.

Most will option the 918 seats etc along with a few more bits making invoice of 170-185K.

Immediate 100K premium for right spec cars and shortly thereafter it will mirror the 140K list price 4.0RS that are now 350-400K.

This can only drag gt3 prices up. many think as high as 200k for speccy cars.

I'm sure the marketing benefit of the 991 RS spanking the 458 speciale for "only £140k" is not lost on Porsche. Much more value there for them than a bit of extra profit on the cars themselves. I'm guessing £140k or less for the list price.

Also Porsche need to respect their own pricing policy, aggree "value" may be what people are prepared to pay but £100K for a GT3 vs £140K for a GT3RS sits correctly in the range and doesn't ruin the Turbo positioning, which from memory has always been priced higher than a GT3RS?

I don't think it's worth two 991s No but I do think people would pay that if that's what they were.

Commercially in the short term, I am sure you are right. They would sell them all at 200k.

But they dont want to. And I think I get the reason but cant explain it!

Just listen to AP for 10 seconds from 4m38s on above video and you will hear why a manual is not coming.

Porsche don't do bubble prices they follow a sound pricing strategy instead. Let's not get started on UK numbers though wink

Someone at OPC Leeds told me a couple of weeks ago they have two instructions from customers to find a car at the earliest opportunity after launch up to a ceiling price of £250k

Will these be trophy cars or commodities?

Personally, a Cayman GT4 looks more appealing - to go out and use everyday. And I'd spend the change on an aircooled classic.

There should be a contract with the RS that doesn't allow you to sell it for a couple of years, except back to Porsche to stop shyster profiteering. Anyone offered one now will take it regardless. The genuine fanatic stands no chance. Very sorry state of affairs...
