Another IMS query....
Discussion
Hi there, I'm looking at a "R" reg '98 996 carrera 2 which suffered IMS failure in 2011 and had it replaced by a specialist independent dealer. The part number on the invoice is 996 105 901 00' abit of searching appears to show that this is a duel row IMS genuine part. Can anyone tell me is this part is likely to be more reliable than the part originally fitted to the engine in '98. Would it be up to standered against the modified non genuine parts now available through popular specialists?
Thanks for any opinions and input.
Kind regards.
