Anyone for Eurohoon?
Discussion
Right, much as we all love to drive in the UK, it's pretty obvious these days that extracting anything more than 'reasonable' speeds is likely to find most of us behind bars PDQ.
Eurohoon is the answer! The impending 'minihoon' around Germany (in early April over a long weekend) will provide autobahn cruising and speeds + a trip to the 'ring over and including genuine luxury accomodation.
Given previous events run by PH/Detagglio it will be well run and a lot of fun. Anyone else considering this? It's got to be an excellent weekend away, just not heard anyone here mention it... More details on the Eurohoon threads. (no I'm not getting paid for this either - just thought it was funny that nobody here had mentioned they were considering it!)
The hooners are running an evening get together (5th Feb) near Silverstone, for past and future participants to check out the video / photos of the last trip, have a beer, talk motors, and get an idea of what the dates/cost etc will be for the two forthcoming trips. Be good to see some F/M/L faces there

Oooooh are you taking in the snowy mountaineous route as shown in the Zonda & Zonda Roadster article in Evo....say that you are!!
Steve
A little bird tells me that this is a possibility for the tentatively schedulded September Hoon, which will include a visit to maranello for the ferrari/lambo/maserati/pagani visits...
April's venue in Germany, not enough time to drive to Rimini and back (confortably!) in 4 days really (well you might be able to do it in a zonda I suppose!)...

Personally I'm looking forward to my first chance to attack the nordschleife (though not too hard - want to come back in 1 piece!)....
If it's open...
To give people a chance to get the time off work, the trip will be confirmed and available to book before the public open days are announced (usually end of February/beginning of March)....
Even after asking very nicely, they cannot confirm whether the Ring will be open on the prospective dates of the trip (15-17 April).
Opening times can be seen here (when they are announced): http://213.239.207.198/nuerburgring.de/106.html?&L=1

Aha. When will these dates be cast in stone and when will the tour schedule be finalised?

When I get a response out of a certain well known Stuttgart-based car manufacturer.....
