Rare 997 club coupe spotted
Discussion
Just had the opportunity to see a brilliant private collection of cars including a Brewster Green 997 club coupe. I never knew such a beast existed.
Here's what it was:

Sadly I must respect the owners wishes about his collection and not post any pictures but it was mighty impressive. Here's a list of what was there:
599 gto
599 manual
Cosworth 190 merc 2.3
360CS
997 gt2 RS
Mp12c
Modded 997 turbo
Offsite he has a 73' 911rs touring & a rare 348.
Great guy too.
Now what is also interesting is the garage a few floors down has a 250gto in!!

Should the subject not read 991.
And am not a fan of this fake limited edition specials. Basically pretty normal car being pimped up by Porsche exclusive with nothin else but normally available extras. At least when they made the Sport Classic they tried a bit harder although the latter GTS was pretty much the same car bar the special roof, cloth seats and Fuchs alloys.
I am much more impressed with projects such as the F60 that Ferrari did for the U.S. that's a proper special car. Wonder why Porsche can't be asked to do something proper like that instead of a 991 Turbo UK edition which was naff at best.
Rant over. The collection of your aquaintance is pretty impressive...

It won't be the 991 Club Coupe, only one in the UK, only two RHD in the world. And it's not part of a collection, it gets used.
Ah, I think you're assuming I saw it in the UK, I did not and I don't recall saying it doesn't get used, it does (in fact just registration, not insurance, for the entire collection costs upwards of $20K per year!)This Club Coupe is part of a collection, it does get used and it is RHD.
While the collector wasn't happy with me taking photos he did allow me to take this one:

Anyhow, as I said in the same storage building but not part of the same collection, is a 250 GTO as well!!
I didn't personally see it but my host discussed it.
It's my new goal to see this mythical automotive unicorn in the flesh by the way!
