.... £675,000.

No I don't own one. I will though.
And I hate to say, "I told you so."

Damn it. These have been underpriced in my own opinion for too long. Just a damned shame I forgot to look down the back of the sofa, so I couldn't stash one in the garage biggrin

yup, last year has been a tough one for me - watching cars going from 300k-400k euros (with the 128k km car at c. 265k euros) to now up to 800k euros. at 300-400k I thought, maybe maybe at some point if I am very lucky and make some sacrifices... at 800k I have to accept it will be very very unlikely.

Too bad for me, but nice for the guys who got one. Let's hope they don't all end up in collections, never to be driven, would be a shame for the rest of us

Well as a CGT owner with a car that has only done 2,000 miles I am very very happy with this news!!!

Great for owners but slightly sad news in the sense quite a few will feel even less likely to use them given the uptick in values as people inevitably start feeling slightly constrained by using cars of that kind of value and less of these absolutely fabulous cars are seen around both on track and on the road.... frown

... am still hoping (selfishly) that they will co,e down again, but am not too hopeful given the way the car industry is heading and given that there will probably always be 1000 people who feel they are good value at whatever the price

It was only a matter of time. They were too cheap at mid 300's when rs 4.0's were up for 350. What colour was the one the one that sold ?

Yes, I tend to agree - but personally it won't stop me. Mine is in for its 8 year engine out service, 19,000 miles under her belt (still not a lot!), and I fully intend to do a couple of big trips this year.

If that means my car is less valuable than these lower mileage motors, then so be it - I'd rather have the experience and the memories.

Cheers

Good man!thumbup Always feel glad there are owners like you who use these cars as intended as it's a genuine buzz to see cars like the CGT at the ring/spa etc...

Wow, amazing. Can't wait until this bloody salt is off the roads and get out in mine again.

Worth every penny imo

Can I pick 'em or can I pick 'em? Shame I can't afford them.

Two for two on predictions (288 being the previous one).

Dare I say the GT4 could be an interesting bet, especially if they don't make many of them. Anything with a GT badge on it is generally golden (kicks self for not buying a 996/997.1 GT3RS when they were going for £45-55k and I actually had the cash). But of the older stuff... I'm struggling. There's a lot that's daftly expensive at the moment and most of the overlooked ones (288/CGT) have now started to catch up. I shall have to have a ponder

Then again a wise man would have bought the 993 C2 that was £5k less than the Cayman I actually bought. Still love the Cayman though thankfully, even if it's worth buttons now.
