I am doing some work on my S2 vixen at the moment and have pulled off the bonnet. I ended up marking and cutting through the loom wires due to corrosion.

Has anyone converted to quick release and if so what is the best multi plug to use to allow quick release wiring??

Also who sells the quick release pins for the hinge assembly?

Any ideas.

Neil.

Pins- I know someone who got a SS pair from exactly TVR

Connector- I got a good waterproof connector from Burton Power in Ilford- they will do mail order. There are other types eg from www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk/
I have seen a trailer plug used but I thought it looked a bit too big?

Check out http://tvr.m-fix.co.uk/ which has a diy bonnet pins modification (for an M series!) and some ideas about the multiplug. As mentioned, Adrian Venn can supply the pins (I'm actually waiting for some for my 3000S) and recommends 'RISTS' multiway connectors (though his source has dried up at present). I also found www.premierwiring.co.uk

Cheers for the info guys.

The Vixen bonnet is a bit simpler than the M. It just needs a quick release pin of the correct diameter to slide through the hinge housing which bolts to the chassis.
