Superformance question
Discussion
Hi guys,
Just a quick line to find out what the guys at Superformance are like to deal with ?
I intend doing a lot of upgrades to the GT4 I currently thrash on and off the track and would like to know I'm dealing with a reputable firm.
Also has anyone done the suspension upgrade they offer and found it OK for normal road use ?
I find that I have terminal understeer unless I really give her heaps mid corner to try and balance her round the curves on the throttle.
I've done several things to the camber, castor, toe-in to improve the handling (slightly successful) but think it is time to bite the bullet and shell some readies for wider wheels (still got the original Cromodoras 6.5"), springs, anti-roll bars, shocks.
The brakes are also useless (this may explain my high entry speed into corners ) and am looking for a rotor that is slotted as I reckon cross-drilling weakens the rotor structure.
BTW Kevin (456M) steered me this way so you can blame him for getting Aussies mixed up with you nutters
John

thanks for the welcome Kevin,
The Superformance people I'm talking about are in your neck of the woods:
www.superformance.co.uk/
they specialise in Dinos and 308s and often have 16" wheels on special plus lots of other improvement packages. I've spoken to Mike Elliot and he seems a nice dude and I would dearly love to buy many things but wife is complaining the house isn't finished and reckons all I want to do is spend money on Ferrari stuff all the time....
hey, by my reckoning, with my family record I've only got 12 years left and I ain't gunna waste them on the blOOdy hoose
Grateful for any info re mods
John
read the tunnel episode you guys did I wanna be there!!!

Superformance are good to deal with, and reasonably quick to send stuff (bit slow on the email, but they will reply). No complaints with them.
The only negative thing I would say is that some of the "remanufactured" non original parts they sell aren't really fantastic quality. For example I bought a set of spark plug leads for about 40 quid (genuine ones are >100 GBP). Bit cheap and naff, and one lead fell apart out of the bag. Also I bought a heat shield from them .... adequate for the job, but that's all. Very rough and ready. Just bought another (different) heat shield, and I went original Ferrari this time ... double the price, but treble the quality.
But for "named" stuff (e.g. service items) they're fine, from my experience.
All IMO of course .....
