Help on rear brakes, upgraded 996tt and not sure what used
Discussion
I have just bought a 996 Turbo which was stated to have a GT3 brake conversion on the front. Weird thing is that the rears seem to have been changed too.
So far I have ascertained that the rear calipers are one piece, red, and the pads have to be withdrawn after the caliper is removed. The pads are not standard 996tt, they don't fit, and the old ones have two holes rather than two cylindrical pegs. Finally, the rear discs measure around 350mm rather than 330mm but I cannot measure the thickness of the old ones properly.
Wld be really helpful if someone could help as it is pretty much unusable and I am going to have to return some pads so far.
Thanks.
