I'm not too keen on the standard 997T G1 alloys I have and have just come across these 808 -Series wheels - http://wheeldynamics.com/porsche-cars.html

To me these look awesome!

I don't suppose anybody has experience of these wheels or the company?

Tempted!

Cheers

Not liking those at all and I doubt they are forged like your OEM wheels. This GT2 set are well priced. New £8000

Like you - not liking those. Forged, cast, not bothered about that. More bothered about getting the wheels I like.

Back to topic - Anybody have any experiences of this company please?

Thanks,

You might be bothered when they crack after the first pothole

997 turbo on non oem rims ?!? ............ Be careful, be very careful ! I too had exactly the same issue so I made a simple modification and colour coded the middle spoke of the three to match the graphite insert of the rim itself . Worked well for not much outlay :

Odd opinion! Any particular reason why you think this or should I be running home to take my HRE P40's off and put my OE (same wheels as yours) back on?

It's a genuine question? My HRE's are correct size/fitment so where's the issue or is it, well if the engines blows up the warranty will be void kind of scenario wink

I can take or leave the GT2 wheels but I really like the aftermarket ones you have on yours. They look like Ferrari 599 GTO wheels.

Ahhhhh understood

2 ring trips a few track days and 10,000 miles on my aftermarket rims, so far so good.

But you never know how well or badly the OE rims were treated whilst they were on the car before I bought it !!!

But agree....

Buy cheap, buy........

The above wheel was on a customers small hatch, I can't remember what exactly. He hit a pot hole at 40ish according to him and that is the result. It's an eye opener that's for sure.

Thanks and yes the 599 GTO wheels are a copy of BBS F1 wheels. OP have look at HRE P40s. They're a similar but nicer version of the wheel you're looking at. Used sets come up on PH and SpeedOnline all the time. Thats where my money would go because as others have pointed out aftermarket wheels can be prone to cracking over our terrible roads in the UK. Even OEM wheels can crack and a car like yours deserves a decent set of wheels IMO not cheaper copies.
