Post xmas ebay turbo trainer bargains

As I know nothing about Turbo trainers, but want to get one as its bloody freezing and dark and horrible where I live, could you hep me out and recommend something for me.

I wouldn't mind just having it set up in the spare room with an ipad movie on the handlebars while I whittela away a couple of hours.

I imagaine that a mat and ipad holder may also be required ( and a hot chocolate machine)

I have one of those, bought on offer from Halfords with the riser block and water bottle.

I quite like it, a little noisy but smooth and variable resistance. does the job.

I've just bought one in an effort to get the fitness back up and enjoy the precious little time I get on my MTB more in the summer.

Managed to bag a bargain Cycleops Fluid 2, Cycleops matt and block for only £100. It's a few years old but looks like new still.

FWIW, go for a fluid based machine. They are much quieter. Resistance increases as you go up the gears. Very pleased with it.

I did exactly this with a CycleOps Fluid 2.

I was originally looking on eBay but after following a few auctions I felt the prices were too high so just decided to buy new.

I got one of those, great piece of kit, I use it all the time in this crappy weather. Mine was £50 off gumtree, used once like new with riser block. Bargain!
