BB30 bearings

Just noticed I've got some play in the bottom bracket (fsa crankset) of my cannondale . The original set lasted 12 months before creaking set in and the replacement sram bearings have lasted about the same. Is this about right or can anyone recommend a better make?

Sounds more like an installation issue rather than a bearing issue. My Boardman, my lads Spec Crux, and his Dolan have never creaked. The Crux is just coming to the end of its second season of CX and the bearings are getting noisey (roaring) but they still spin quite well with no creaking. Were the Sram bearings bedded into the frame with a bit of coppergrease / Neverseize or suchlike around them?

I've got through 2 sets of bearing this season already, 1st time seized and 2nd time annoying creaks.
I put the seizing down to jet washing, but the creaking wasn't cured with bearings it was between the crank arm and the shaft.
Fixed this by stripping and greasing everything before assembly.
So far so good.
IMO the BB30 type cranks are not ideal for the abuse cx gives them, but you can pick bearings up for £3 a side so no biggie really.
