Just bought and fitted some powered garage door kits. Chap I bought them from warned me never to use the remote control for them unless I can clearly see the doors.

He explained that when living in NZ, a lady who owned a poodle had some of these kits fitted. She arrived home and got her poodle out of the car. She could hear the phone ringing in the house so she quickly looped the dog's leash over the garage door handle and then ran inside. She had nearly finished her phone conversation and was thinking about putting the car in the garage - so clicked the remote control to open the door. Several 'goodbyes' later she eventually went back outside the house to find the unluckly pooch dangling motionless on its leash, 7 feet of the ground - too late. One well and truly hanged mutt.

Also remeber that if you are the wife of a dodgy Welsh businessman two young lads might come and hang your husband to your automatic garage doors.

(Twin Town anyone?)

On a similar note don't tether your pooch to a level crossing barrier arm whilst you bend over to tie your shoelaces.

Alas the local paper didn't have a photo.

Corker that film. Had me in stitches.
Would the above story though be an urban miff?
