Wowww. Fantastic album.

Got this as a pressie at Christmas.

Favorite tracks are;

Chocolate
Wow
Spitting Games
Run

I know it's been around for a while, but just haven't taken the plunge. Should have done....ages ago.

Fabulous, Isn't it?

Alongside Keane, two of my favourite albums of the moment. Have them on loop in the car - lovely driving music!

Keane - Hopes and Fears.

Strangely my second favourite at the moment. Been listening to it for ages.

You've got taste.

Run is excellent, a good album.

I also recently got:

Franz Ferdinand (weren't they great on Jools Holland?)
Goldy Looking Chain (can't help but laugh)
Oceans 11 OST (great soundtrack)

And my discovery of 2005 is:

Afro Celt Sound System - Vol2: Release

A friend has lent me this and I can't stop playing it.

No Steve, its track 7 off Final Straw.

I think it was a single as well?

I think Greg was saying that Run is a good single, and the album is a good album.

Edit: Oh, sorry. Beaten to it by the man himself.

Saw Snow Patrol Live about a Month ago.

Really Really good!

Grazed Knees is just one of those tracks that makes me feel all strange, and hearing it live was the best thing ever!

also, check out thier older albums, they're a little different in style, but some serioulsy good stand alone tracks suchs as "one night is not enough" and "fifteen miutes old"

"Wow" is my personal fav off Final Straw.

The Lyrics of these tracks are so good, they are all pretty much about being unlucky in love, so I can relate to them (everybody: Awwwwwwwwwww)

Loved the first five tracks, then played them too much.

It's not really an album with shelf life IMO.

Still, I'll probably venture back to "Mr Brightside" again next week.

Keane and Snow Patrol now £9.99 and £8.99 respectively at HMV if anybody is interested.

The single that broke them as a Mainstream "overground" band i don't think they'll mind me saying.

Useless fact: Spitting games was the first single off of "Final Straw" both released at the end of the summer '03 but after the success of the single "Run" they re-released the CD (with the extra 2 tracks) in Feb

everyday's a school day!

Just bought a compilation at the weekend called 'The Bands 05' with all this sort of stuff on. Very good if you like a sampler of what else is out there. Great song on it by a band called Delays. Can't tell you which song, missus has got the CD in her car!
