1 Lap of NYC - DVD and trailer
Discussion
Just watched 1 Lap of NYC - the new dvd from BeyondTheQuarter.
It's filmed all around New York, with motorshows, street-racing and lots of Lambos, Ferraris, Vipers etc.
Great vid. It's what i percieve to be my fav type of driving... enjoying the cars and driving them like they should be.

if you can ignore the pot-holes large enough to swallow a mini... the huge temperature ranges and heavy traffic just make the roads fall to pieces...
i wouldn't drive around central manhatten in anything less than a full on 4x4!
Yep, Manhattan is pretty inhospitable to cars in general and especially anything low slung and of a fragile nature. The metal sheets they use as 'temporary' road repairs have to be seen to be believed. Did see some brave soul in an Elise cruising down Broadway the other week though...
Rico, if you're interested I can point you in the direction of a good car rental place where you can get a Corvette, Viper, or just an MR2 if you're saving the Esso tokens (or want a manual) and some tasty roads upstate.

Ah... re-read your post and when i visit NYC i'll drop you an email
Unfortunately I'm returning to London at the end of this month to start a new job but email me anyway and I'll give you all the details, just won't be around to give you the guided tour I'm afraid...
There's a cracking road I know where I cooked the brakes on a 'Vette on my third pass!
And if you need to justify the road trip to any non-petrol headed travelling companions just tell them the scenery is stunning (which it really is).

Rico am I right in thinking they shipped this internationally to you?
Was this at extra cost?
It cost me $25 including p&p to the UK.
Follow the link on the beyondthequarter.com website to 'buy the dvd'... it takes you to a paypal page then enter $25 and your postal address. Few days later a dvd arrives.
I actually emailed the guy to confirm prices, his email address is: robiferretti AT beyondthequater DOT com

Rico et al,
If your after another great Ferrari DVD, there is one from the mid 70s when this chap screams across Paris at dawn. Cant remember the title but it defintely has to be seen to be believed.
I was looking around for it for ageas and ended up finding it for sale in a clothes shop in Notting Hill!
