None whatsoever: all the indexing comes from the shifters anyway. New cables - assuming the current ones aren't exactly factory-fresh - will be a much better investment.The existing mech is 3 years old but with recent jockey wheels.

Toying with changing my 10 speed 105 group set to 11 speed ultegra next year, but totally wonder if I'll see much benefit.
Read a magazine group test recently and one bike had an ultegra derailleur with an otherwise 105 groupset; they suggested a notable difference, but I'm always sceptical of what journos say.
