Spectacularly wet end to the 2014 season, will 2015 be the end of the V8 era?
Kicks off 27th Feb in Adelaide.
Red Bull domination or young upstarts upstaging the old timers?
Your thoughts gentlemen?

gonna take a while to get used to all the shake-ups, seems to be a lot going on movement wise with drivers/teams/sponsors. paid drivers are a hot topic, David wall in particular with his Wilson security money taking the 2nd Volvo
the consensus in Aus is that they don't like having to pay for Fox/telstra to watch the series next year although they will get all the practice/ Quali and races live, looks like Bathurst will still be Free to Air as its a 'protected' event.
Gregg Murphy is listed as commentary, again the Aussies are b
hing about Skaife/Crompton bias towards certain teams so depending whether Blue or Red, Larko seems to be safe from criticism though.

As the poster above said that duo (plus Larko) are just about the best commentary crew on TV, I see no bias, they're a fantastic, knowledgeable team that make F1 commentators like Coulthard, Edwards and Jordan seem incredibly dreary.

A Holden will win the championship (hopefully).
Channel 10 will f
k up the TV coverage (actually they've already done that and they haven't started yet).
Does that mean we're losing what is arguably one of the best commentary/pit reporting teams on tele?Channel 10 will f

They are all good, with the exception of Beretta who is just a sports reporter and has no real link to the sport and therefore none of the experience of the others. I wouldn't miss him.
They've also made a lot of it Foxtel (Sky equivalent, but worse) only this year with the exception of Bathurst and a few others. Their expectation is people will subscribe just to watch it - I suspect they'll find the opposite. I hope their viewing figures don't drop too much as with the loss of Ford and the additional uncertainty around the rule changes in the future they run the risk of damaging the brand.

Reliability issues now seem to be sorted, and they've certainly got the pace I can see Mclaughlan and Volvo in the fight for the title next year. They've been mightily impressive this year.
Well if Volvo/Polestar/GRM are going to vie for the title next year, then they're going to have to go all out as they may not have many more chances to do it, given the statements of some of their more recently appointed bosses:Motorsport Does Not Comform With Our Brand
Last weekends testing and shootout looked promising for the upcoming season, 8 different manufacturers in the top ten.
Crazy van Gisbergen 2nd quickest, McLaughlin 4th and the dominant Red Bulls of Lowndes and Whincup only managing 8th and 12th.
All kicks off in 10 days, first race with live UK broadcast on 28th.
Go Scotty !

Don't think the Red Bull's were running flat out even in the shootout. They'll be up at the front come Adelaide. Just behind the Volvo hopefully
You mean sandbagging?
I thought so too, quite slidey but a deliberate poke of the throttle at the wrong time can easily make them do that.
