M/Taimar switches?

Apart from some switches that look very similar to those in my Taimar (even similarly faded) can anyone explain why this rather un-inspiring dashboard is worth so much

VDO Gauges are quite pricey.
Add up all the bits…..It'll sharp add up in price.

Sadly, nothing on that dash was ever fitted to a TVR as original, a full set of new OE switches for a M (bezel and written words and a car without wash wipe column) would cost you more!
In fact any version set of the correct new switches from 72-80 would cost you more!
