Hi All -

Just bought (& drove 170 miles home in!) a '99 200sx S14a Touring.

The car is totally stock (for the moment ) so any suggestions on the best course of action gladly recieved...

Are any PH meets in January in the London/Surrey area?

somehow i think the idea of ditching my car for a sensible option went out the window....

it ain't a skyline, but it ain't a corsa either...

oh well!

An S14a,its a righteous beast, imo.Post up some pics plz.
If it were mine & I had a mind to (performance)modify,I would deffo start with a decent set of tyres.Then;engine/breathingecent cone air filter(reccomend Apexi),with as much cold air feed/heat protection as is realistic. Then, a nice wide bore & decatted S/S exhaust. There, just spent £5-800.00 for youDecent electric boost controller next....now your hookedkiss your wages goobye
visions of ppl wagging fingers & saying 'Told you so!'...

Hey,congrats & enjoy it

There will be a 200sx RR day at my road in the next couple of months. It will go up on the SXOC boards soon.

Nice one - already found that (in fact already found your site! I was looking for a decent garage in the surrey area and stumbled over it)

- do you do general servicing or just lease out the road?

Sounds like you got a bargain, and good choice! What insurer did you go with, if you don't mind my prying? Meantime, as ever, THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICS!

Elephant - paying the same as I was for my S2 (which seems a little steep) - bout £850 (28, 2yrs no claims Surrey, Parked on Drive)

No digital camera (santa was mean this year )

here is doppleganger off the web though:

colour is sapphire

How does it feel compared to the S2?

Strange one that Gaz - it doesn't 'feel' as fast as the S2 - though the rate at which it reaches scary speeds indicate that it clearly is much faster.

I guess that the raw 'arse on the floor' S2 always made 50 feel more like 70...

....surprisingly nimble steering for such a big car

My S2 was a quick one, - but I severly doubt that it would beat the 200SX in a straight line.

especially once I've had the cats 'neutered'

Hopefully that will make it 'sound' a bit more like it goes.......
