considering placing some road legal slicks on for the summer. Does you have any suggestions for brands and costs??

Is this likely to adversely affect the dynamics as the factory have specified the potenza re040s??

Do you think they will last 6000 miles of moderate to severe tests of handling over the summer??!!

Cheers again

Yokohama A048 are the recommended factory option..but you really need the Motorsport wider front rims, and upgraded suspension to cope with the extra grip available...otherwise you could find yourself hitting the bump stops under hard cornering....they should last 6K on the rears with road only use...however I wouldnt really have thought that the road is the best place to be using them...in order to get near the limit of adhesion on the std tyres on a std Elise you would have to be cornering like a loony...best kept to track if you want to live through the summer IMO

yup A048s is the way to go. But my rear tyres only lasted for about 3000 miles. 90% road 10% track.
